Information we collect

• Account information, such as your email address and authentication identifiers.
• Purchase information supplied by Paddle, such as customer, transaction, product, price, payment status, and refund identifiers. We do not receive or store your complete card details.
• Course activity, including lessons viewed, playback starts and completions, progress milestones, watch time, rewatches, and playback performance such as startup time, buffering, and errors.
• Messages and information you send when requesting support, a refund, or joining an email list.
• Technical and usage information, such as device, browser, approximate location, IP address, pages visited, referral data, and cookie or similar identifiers.

How we use information

• Provide accounts, purchased course access, video playback, support, and refunds.
• Protect accounts, prevent fraud and misuse, and keep the service secure.
• Measure site and course performance and improve lessons and user experience.
• Send requested emails and, where required, obtain your consent for marketing or analytics.
• Meet accounting, tax, legal, and regulatory obligations.

Depending on the activity, we rely on performing our contract with you, complying with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, or your consent.

Service providers

We use specialist providers to operate the service, including:

• Paddle as merchant of record for payments, tax, receipts, and refunds.
• Supabase for authentication and course-account data.
• Mux for video hosting, playback, and video performance analytics.
• DigitalOcean and Cloudflare for hosting, delivery, and security.
• Google Analytics for website and course-funnel analytics.
• Kit for requested newsletters or course-interest emails, and Kickbox for email verification.

These providers process information under their own privacy terms and may process it outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential storage for account, security, checkout, and privacy-choice functions. Google Analytics loads on production pages with analytics storage denied. Before you make a choice, or after you select Decline, it sends limited cookieless measurements but does not read or write Google Analytics cookies in your browser. We use this limited measurement to understand whether the site and lessons are working, based on our legitimate interest in improving the service.

If you select Accept, Google Analytics may use analytics cookies and similar storage to provide more accurate session and user measurement. Consent also enables Mux Data to measure video watch time, retention, rewatches, and playback quality. Rejecting analytics cookies does not prevent you from using the site or watching course videos.

Google Analytics helps us understand acquisition, page use, sign-in, checkout, purchases, and coarse lesson progress. We do not use these tools for advertising personalisation, and we do not send names, email addresses, complete referring URLs, or payment-card details as analytics event fields. A signed-in learner's internal random account identifier may be sent to Mux after consent so views can be associated across lessons.

With consent, we may keep first-touch campaign details and the referring website's hostname for 30 days and attach them to a later purchase. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie settings, here or in the site footer. Withdrawal returns Google Analytics to cookieless measurement and removes analytics and attribution storage from this browser; Mux Data tracking remains off.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes above, including providing purchased access and meeting legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, and dispute-handling requirements. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Google Analytics event and user data is configured for two-month retention. Mux Data keeps standard video-view analytics for up to 100 days. Purchase attribution is retained with the related purchase record, and anonymous consent records are retained so we can demonstrate the choice that was recorded.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Contact us to make a request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local data protection authority.

Contact
